Our Story
Randi and I first met at a TG—and by "met," I mean that's the first time I remember seeing her (and thinking she looked beautiful). She claims to remember seeing me that night as well, and she's a sweetheart for lying. But although we actually met a number of times after that, nothing ever materialized during our time at Ohio State. We were acquaintances at best. Friends of friends. But, thankfully, we were Facebook friends.
And almost seven years later, she sent me a Facebook message.
After that, I had a pretty good idea that she had a crush on me. So when we ran into each other a few months later in Columbus, I was overly confident. Thankfully she found me charming, because I was immediately smitten. I knew she was different and couldn't wait to talk to her the next day.
The night my heart became Randi's to have and to hold.
She Visited Cleveland
After a few weeks of texting, I asked Randi if she wanted to come see a Browns game and visit me in Cleveland. (Speaks to my irrational fandom that I thought a Browns game would be an appealing incentive to visit.) Thankfully Randi fought every rational reason her brain could muster and agreed to come.
I told myself that if the weekend went well, I would ask her to Baker Ball (basically my law firm's prom).
I ended up asking her within the first 40 seconds of seeing her.
Randi's first time on E. 4th.
Baker Ball; and apparently some foreshadowing.
We Dressed Up for Halloween
No real story here; just wanted to share a few costumes that we crushed it on.
She Moved to Cleveland
Randi's going away party in Columbus.
We Bought a House
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.
We Got Engaged
Now, we're getting married.
And we hope you can join the party.
